The design process undertaken by KLP involves, as a minimum, the following steps:
• Meeting / discussions between all key stakeholders to clearly define the scope of works for the project, details of which include project timing, technical requirements and responsibilities of each stake holder.
• Research the project from a technical aspect acquiring network plans and data. Ensuring that we have a clear understanding of the clients requirements
• Site survey (low level investigation) , identification of site constraints and the identification of environmental issues.
• Liaison and negotiations at all stages with the relevant Supply Authority, and interested stakeholders to obtain their requirements for supply to the site.
• Notification to other relevant parties (Local councils, RMS, Traditional owners, local community consultation as required by the Electricity Supply Act).
• Investigate site limitations, commence environmental impact assessment and identify environmental factors, including cultural and European heritage
• Prepare preliminary sketches and alternative solutions that satisfy the scope of works and the clients requirements.
• Meeting / discussions with all key stakeholders to discuss potential solutions.
• On agreement with all stakeholders prepare final design and submit the final package to the Supply Authority for certification.
• Final survey and peg the site as required.
• Produce completed final design package.
• Construction Project Management and Works as Executed drawings if required. .
